Gingery mango & berry smoothie recipe

This Gingery Mango & Berry Smoothie is a refreshing blend with a zesty kick from the ginger, balanced by the sweetness of the mango and berries—a perfect way to start your day or enjoy as a refreshing snack!

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced (or 1/2 cup frozen mango)

  • 1/2 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) - fresh or frozen

  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger

  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt (or a dairy-free option)

  • 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds/chia seeds (for added fibre)

  • 1/2 cup of orange juice (or coconut water for a lighter taste)

  • 1 cup spinach (or kale)

  • If you're not using frozen fruits add a handful of ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Peel and dice the mango, and wash the berries (I use frozen fruit for smoothies)

  2. In your blender, add all your ingredients. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. If the smoothie is too thick, add more orange juice or coconut water until it reaches your desired consistency. If it’s too thin, add a few ice cubes.

  4. Pour the smoothie into a glass, and if you like, garnish with a slice of mango or a few extra berries on top. Enjoy it right away!

Tip:

If you like a stronger ginger flavour, you can add a little more ginger, but start small as ginger can be quite potent.
